A man who punched a bouncers after the rally at the University of Florida said he was a Trump supporter, The Orlando Sentinel reported.
A man identified as Kevin W. said he walked up to the bouncers at the university to say he had a ticket to a Trump event on Tuesday, the newspaper reported.
W said he got punched in the face by the bouncer after he got into the crowd and tried to leave the building.
The newspaper said W’s family had paid $75 to have a picture taken with him.
“They just walked me over and asked if I was going to vote for Trump,” W said.
“I said, ‘Yeah, I’m going to go to the polls.
I’m voting for Trump.'”
W said the bounbers asked if he was coming to the rally.
“And then they just told me to get in the back and I just told them, ‘No, I have a ticket,'” he said.
W, who said he has not voted in the past, said he told the bounchers he was at the rally to see Trump.
The Florida Republican Party declined to comment.
